The Hot Pipe are a mixture of instrumentals and vocals with one foot in the Blues and the other in Soul music. The Hot Pipes consist of Bret Coats (Bass and Vocals), Dave Sims (Drums), Andy Fulton (Keyboards) and Johnny Storbeck (Guitar). The Hot Pipes were voted the best R&B band in the SMMA awards.
